Prep, Prime, Paint, Protect.
Every QRP job runs through these four stages in this order. We don't shortcut them, even on a fast rental turnover.
Our process
Prep is most of the job.
Paint is the easy bit.
Buildings fail at the prep, not the topcoat. Four steps, no shortcuts, same on a $4k bedroom refresh as on a $40k exterior or commercial repaint.

Walk-through & scope
On-site assessment, substrate notes, colour direction, fixed-price quote within 3 business days.

Prep protocol
Wash, scrape, fill, sand, prime. Non-negotiable: every surface gets the same discipline.

Application
Two coats premium Dulux or Haymes spec'd for the substrate. Cut-ins by hand, rolled or sprayed to spec.

Handover & warranty
Walk-through with you, touch-up kit, photo record, 5-year written warranty transferable on sale.

Prep
- Pressure wash + sugar-soap clean on every exterior; vacuum + microfibre on every interior
- Sand back peeling, chalking, or glossed surfaces back to a sound substrate
- Scrape and fill cracks, nail holes, hairline movement; spot-prime exposed timber and metal
- Mask windows, fixtures, floors; remove or cover hardware
- Document substrate condition with photos for QA + warranty record

Prime
- Substrate-matched primer: oil-based on knotty timber, alkali-resistant on render, stain-block on smoke or tannin
- Adhesion test on glossy or aged substrates
- Two coats of primer over patched zones for a flat colour base
- Always 24 hours cure before recoating

Paint
- Premium Dulux or Haymes system specified for the substrate and climate exposure
- Two-coat minimum on every surface, three coats on high-traffic enamels
- Brushed cut-ins for crisp lines; rollers on broad walls; spray only where the finish requires it
- Wet-on-wet edges, no lap marks, no roller stipple

Protect
- Daily clean-down; rooms left usable each evening
- Hardware re-mounted, fixtures returned, floor protection removed without residue
- Final walk-through with client, defect list resolved before invoice
- Written warranty card and touch-up paint can supplied on completion
- Five-year workmanship warranty, transferable on sale
